FA Cup: MK Dons add to QPR’s woes with Loftus Road thumping

Ryan Giggs converted a third-minute penalty – 20 years and three days after his first FA Cup goal – before Wayne Rooney and a double from Javier Hernandez added to the lead. Aaron Hughes, whose handball gave away the early spot-kick, replied.
Olivier Giroud scored twice as Arsenal won 3-2 at Brighton. He gave the Gunners the lead twice, but equalisers from Ashley Barnes and Jose Ulloa kept the Seagulls in it until Theo Walcott’s 85th-minute winner.
Johnny Heitinga’s 90th-minute goal gave Everton a 2-1 success at Bolton. Reading eased into the last 16 with a 4-0 win over Sheffield United, with Noel Hunt scoring twice. Jordi Gomez’s seventh-minute penalty was enough to give Premier League Wigan a 1-0 win at non-league Macclesfield.
Danny Hylton’s 89th-minute goal seemed to have earned Aldershot a replay at Middlesbrough but Lukas Jutkiewicz netted a last-minute winner. Blackburn were 3-0 winners at Derby, Jordan Rhodes among the scorers, while Chris Dagnall’s goal saw Barnsley beat Hull 1-0. Lee Novak’s 74th-minute penalty gave Huddersfield the lead against Leicester but Chris Wood earned a replay.
