The Eagles announced that the Welsh midfielder had signed for ‘an undisclosed fee, subject to final confirmation from the Premier League.”
Ledley had been offered a new deal at Celtic, with his current contract set to run out this summer.
However, Celtic chose to sell him now rather than let him leave for nothing in the close season, and accepted a bid from the London club yesterday morning.
The former Cardiff City star had trained with Celtic in the morning before travelling to England for talks.
He was one of a number of signings the Selhurst Park club made, joining countryman Wayne Hennessy, defender Scott Dann and Blackpool’s Tom Ince, who signed a loan deal until the end of the season.
