Outlook bleak for graduates
MOST graduates who took their degree in the past two years were not working in a profession related to their studies, threatening a "disillusioned generation", a new report said yesterday.
The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) said most recent graduates were unable to find a suitable job.
A survey of 700 graduates found six out of 10 were working in a field not related to the degree they studied. More than a quarter said their degree did not equip them with the skills they needed for the workplace, and a similar number had decided to delay looking for a job.
