Grandson of wartime leader Churchill dies

WINSTON Churchill, a former Conservative MP and grandson of the Second World War prime minister, died yesterday after a battle with cancer. He was 69.

After working as a foreign correspondent in the 1960s, Mr Churchill served as a Manchester MP between 1970 and 1997. His father was Randolph Churchill, the son of Sir Winston.
