It is not right to ‘look on the bright side’ of global warming
Perhaps most disturbing is the idea that melting polar icecaps are good news for Scotland because it brings new trade opportunities. In fact, easier access to the Arctic is leading to a surge of exploration for oil in dangerous but previously inaccessible waters, aggravating climate change and risking pristine ecosystems.
It’s a profound disappointment to see a supposedly independent advisory body being so complacent.
