Man held over woman’s death

POLICE have arrested a man in connection with the death of a 22-year-old woman who was found critically injured after reports of a disturbance.

She was found at a house in the village of Powmill in Perth and Kinross.

Officers from Tayside Police were called to the property at 6pm on Friday, where they found the woman with critical injuries. Paramedics, who also attended, were not able to revive her, and she was declared dead at the scene.

Police have arrested a 22-year-old man in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Perth Sheriff Court tomorrow.

The woman has not yet been named. The house remained cordoned off by police last night.
