Kings of Leon frontman reveals band's plans to go solo

Kings of Leon frontman Caleb Followill has revealed he and his brothers are considering solo projects.

The singer - launching his band's new warts-and-all documentary at the Edinburgh International Film Festival - said they each had to put their own ideas on the "back burner" when they recorded together as a group, but he said they may see the light of day as solo material.

The group - brothers Caleb, Nathan, Jared and cousin Matthew Followill - have a famously fiery relationship which can be seen in Talihina Sky: The Story of Kings of Leon.

The movie, receiving its European premiere in the Capital on Saturday, shows them fighting and arguing as it traces how they have changed after finding international fame.

The band admitted even they were shocked and embarrassed by some of the film.

Nathan said: "It shows us probably acting the way that people would never want themselves to be seen.

"It would have been very easy for us to candy-coat this and make us seem super cool all the time, nothing ever gets to us and it's just good times, partying and hunky-dory. This shows us the opposite."
