Glasgow van driver shooting was ‘attempted murder’
The 37-year-old Ford Transit driver was not injured in the incident at about 6.45pm in Neilston Avenue. Police have yet to establish a motive.
Officers want to trace the occupants of a car spotted at the scene and later found burned out.

Hide AdDetective Inspector Greig Wilkie said: “We are keen to trace the occupants of a dark-coloured car that was seen in Neilston Avenue at the time of the shooting.
“The car, believed to be a Volkswagen Passat, was found on fire around 7.40pm in Rouken Glen Golf Club, near the entrance. The car is currently undergoing a full forensic examination.

“The inquiry team are currently gathering CCTV footage in an effort to gather more information on the incident and those responsible.
“I would urge anyone who was in the area of Neilston Avenue around the time of the incident on Tuesday night who witnessed anything suspicious to come forward to the investigation team, as they may have information that is vital to us. I would also ask anyone who saw the Volkswagen Passat to contact us too.”
He added: “I understand that people may have concerns about the incident but I would like to reassure them that everything possible is being done to trace who is responsible.
“There will be additional officers patrolling the area to provide reassurance to the public. If anyone has any concerns, please speak to officers.”
