Glasgow University students resume occupation

A group of students from Glasgow University have resumed their occupation of a campus building a day after they were evicted by police.

An estimated 60 to 100 protesters have returned to the Hetherington building in a demonstration over the institution's proposals to merge or drop courses to make 20 million savings.

They were removed amid a heavy police presence yesterday following the seven-week sit-in at 13 University Gardens, but went on to occupy part of the main university building.
