A countryside home which inspired Peter Pan author J. M. Barrie to pen some of his best works has hit the market.

The Manse is situated on the edge of Glenprosen village near Kirriemuir, Angus, where the author was born and spent his early life.

Occupying a south facing, elevated hillside position, the property boasts stunning views across the glen and is surrounded by private, mature gardens.

A successful playwright and novelist, J.M. Barrie was born in Scotland in 1860 and is most famous for writing Peter Pan, an ageless boy who had adventures around the fantasy setting of Neverland.
