TINNED haggis supplier Grant’s Foods has secured an exclusive deal with supermarket giant Asda to stock a new range of soups and canned ready meals.

A total of 18 products will be launched this month by the Ayrshire-based company, which was established in 1885. Several of the new lines will be stocked exclusively by Asda.

As part of the launch, Grant’s is investing in an extensive rebrand in a bid to “tap into new food trends”. Among the latest products in the canned ready-meal range are Piri Piri Chicken and Moroccan Chicken.

Claire Inglis, account marketing manager for Grant’s, said: “We are constantly coming up with innovative new ideas for meal solutions in a can and we look forward to introducing more flavours in due course.”

Meanwhile, Lanark-based Border Biscuits has boosted its presence with Asda by landing a nationwide listing for the winning recipe of this year’s Big Baking Bonanza competition.
