Stannah gets £6m lift from councils

STAIRLIFT maker Stannah has won its largest ever contract after signing a £6 million deal to supply six Scots local councils.

The firm will fit and maintain more than 800 lifts each year over the next three years for residents in Glasgow, East and West Dunbartonshire, South Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire.

The contract was awarded by Glasgow-based Cordia, an organisation that sources services for older people on behalf of local authorities.

Stannah will also remove old stairlifts and refurbish them for use in other houses.
