Chinese craft brewers seek to build Scottish links
A delegation of Chinese brewers have visited two Scottish craft beer firms as part of an initiative to look at building links between the industries in both countries.
Kurt Xia and Pan Dinghao, co-founders of Chinese craft brewery Panda Brew in Beijing, and Chen Zhengying, Panda’s head brewer, were invited to Stewart Brewing in Edinburgh and Drygate brewing in Glasgow by Craft Beer Clan of Scotland, which aims to promote the Scottish craft globally.
Craft Beer Clan was established by Glasgow-based wholesaler JW Filshill two years to help smaller brewers and distillers penetrate key markets with an initial focus on the Asia-Pacific region. It now represents more than 30 brewers.
