Business briefs: Euro Disney losses near £100m mark | £45k on offer for bright ideas
Euro Disney posted a net loss of €120.9 million (£97.5m) for the six months to 31 March, up from €99.5m a year earlier. Visitor numbers fell slightly to 6.8 million, but resort revenues rose 1 per cent to €551m.
Chief executive Philippe Gas said: “The challenging economic environment has impacted attendance and occupancy compared to last year.”

Hide AdAspiring entrepreneurs from universities across Scotland have until 18 May to enter the Converge Challenge competition with a chance to win £45,000 to support their business idea.
Run by Heriot-Watt University, it gives students and staff of any Scottish university the chance to develop the commercial potential of their inventions.
Shortlisted applicants will be asked to deliver a 60-second elevator pitch.
