Stays at Trump Turnberry lighthouse on offer for £7k a night
The plush hotel and the Ailsa Course both re-open today after being given multi-million pound makeovers by the resort’s owner, American billionaire Donald Trump.
The work has involved Turnberry lighthouse, which is set on the foundation of the ruins of the 13th century castle of Robert the Bruce, being transformed into a halfway house for golfers and a luxury two-bedroom suite for guests.
The cheapest of two one-night stay packages at one of the most photographed locations in golf, The Stevenson Experience, is £3,000 but The King of Scots Experience rises to £7,000.
